Deleting or Deactivating Your Account
Learn the difference between temporarily deactivating your profile and permanently deleting it, and start the termination flow.
Pausing or Closing Your Account 🛡️
If you need a break from Locality or want to permanently reset your journey, we offer two distinct options: Deactivation and Deletion.
Option 1: Deactivate Your Account (Temporary)
What happens: Your profile page, name, and pose are immediately hidden from all other users. Other users won't be able to search for you or request to Loop In.
Reserved Username: Your unique @username remains reserved for you. No one else can claim it.
How to Reactivate: Simply log back in with your phone number or email at any time. Your profile, past events, and loops will be restored exactly as you left them.
Option 2: Delete Your Account (Permanent)
What happens: Your current account is permanently deleted. You can't recover it again.
Username Released: Your unique @username is released, making it available for anyone else to claim.
Data Integrity: Historical data relating to past financial bookings are archived to preserve platform compliance.
